What is Severe Scoliosis?
Severe scoliosis is a medical condition characterized by an abnormal curvature of the spine that exceeds 40-50 degrees. This significant spinal misalignment can lead to noticeable physical deformities, pain, reduced mobility, and in some cases, breathing or cardiovascular issues due to compression of the internal organs. Severe scoliosis can be congenital, idiopathic (of unknown cause), or neuromuscular, linked to conditions like cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy.
